Description of the special session/workshop: Data science is gaining popularity day by day and finding applications in almost all domains of real world. It is improving corporate decision-making and performance thereby increasing organizations efficiency. Data is Power and Data Science is about learning from your data, huge volumes of data and mostly unstructured data from various heterogeneous sources. Data Science technologies are showing a way to harness the power of analysing data and data storage is not a problem these days. Data Science and Analytics plays an important role in various disciplines including business, medical and health informatics, social sciences, manufacturing, economics, accounting and finance.  SCADS has prime objective to provide an opportunity and common platform for a close interaction of data scientists, researchers, industry experts and academicians to discuss & share their knowhow with one another. SCADS will also provide a forum for in-depth assessment of the challenges involved in the dynamic and fast moving field of Data Science research. It will bring together leading data scientists and allied professionals to discuss and present the latest important developments problems and issues in machine learning in data science and analytics.  SCADS aims to attract researchers who are actively engaged both in theoretical and practical aspects of Soft Computing in Data Science. Authors are invited to contribute to the conference by submitting articles in the following areas, but are not limited to the following topics: 

• Decision tree learning  

• Association rule learning  

• Artificial neural networks  

• Support vector machines  

• Clustering 

• Bayesian models and methods  

• Inductive logic programming  

• Reinforcement learning  

• Representation learning

• Similarity and metric learning

• Sparse dictionary learning  

• Feature Learning  

• Genetic algorithms

• Visualization and Data Mining  

• Fuzzy Logic 

Applications include but are not limited to the following areas: 
• Financial Analytics • Bioinformatics • Business Analytics

• Customer Analytics  • Information Analytics • Marketing Analytics

• Operations Analytics • Sentiment analysis (or opinion mining)

• Big Data Computing 

Authors are invited to submit original research contributions not concurrently submitted elsewhere (Submission system). Normal length papers should be 8-10 pages, formatted in Springer’s single column format (detailed instructions for paper format in Latex and MS Word can found here https://www.springer.com/series/11156# ).

Submitted papers will be refereed by at least three reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance. Notification and reviews will be communicated via email. Authors of the best papers will be invited to extend their papers for inclusion in a special issue of the some journals indexed by SCOUPS and EI. Papers reporting original research results and experience are solicited. The online submission process is opened. Authors may use the online submission system hosted by Easychair  Conference System to submit their papers. If you don't have an Easychair   account you will need to create one and then login in order to submit your papers. All accepted conference papers will be presented at the conference and included in the published proceedings by Springer.
